Feline Leukemia Infection (FeLV) is a serious disease that usually affects indoor cats. It's resulting from a virus – a type of agent that inserts its genetic code into the cat's genetic makeup. Different from some other feline illnesses, FeLV is extremely contagious, spreading easily through saliva, respiratory secretions, urine, and excrement.
